Location


The house is just 5 minutes from Francavilla center with shops, ice cream parlors,  the railway station, 20 minutes from Pescara  and 45 minutes from the mountains (Passo Lanciano, Roccaraso, La Maielletta). The area around Pescara is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Abruzzo.
The apartement has a wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea and it's close by confortable seaside resorts, the bus stop is at about 50mt and there is a bus every 5 min going to the center of Pescara.
There are two supermarkets, three bars, two hairdressers and a veterinary in the this neighbourhood.
Francavilla al Mare is a town of 24,000 inhabitants in the province of Chieti located in a wonderful position overlooking the Adriatic Sea, considered no less than a pearl of the Adriatic. Francavilla al Mare is a place devoted primarily to a tourism resort, where there are bathrooms equipped to offer rental of umbrellas and deck chairs, as well as venues where you can spend the afternoons and summer evenings. Not for others, in recent decades, the influx of tourists has considerably improved and with it of course also hotels, restaurants, campgrounds and nightclubs like pubs, nightclubs and amusement arcades.
The village of Francavilla al Mare may welcome its visitors in hotels, lodges and bed and breakfast in several categories.
From a cultural and artistic point of view the painter Francesco Paolo Michetti went to lived in the convent of  Francavilla in 1883, he was a great friend of the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio who often had important meetings there, and he was the founder of the 'cenacolo dannunziano'. The ancient convent was destroyed during the War and rebuilted later ( as all the town). In 1998 the Michetti Museum, where two of his most famous paintings are exposed : 'Le Serpi'(snakes) and 'Gli storpi' (cripples), was opened to the public.
